About the Artist

"For me, painting is equal parts challenge and reward as I am forever searching for new ways to enhance atmosphere, light and mood in my work.

A few years ago I began working with oil and cold wax and am enamored with the process of layering, adding, subtracting and creating texture. This medium lends itself to many styles of painting, but I am always drawn to landscape whether it is abstract or representational. While this approach leads to many mistakes it also creates "happy accidents" and allows me the freedom to not take my artist-self too seriously."
